Are you ready for amazing views and miles of great scenery?
The 8th Annual War Memorial Hospital Sault International Festival of Races kicks off Saturday, September 23rd with a half-marathon across the International Bridge, and no passport is required! The half-marathon and the 7.1 mile Bridge Run both turn around before heading into Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
If you’re not ready for such a long run, you can opt for the 5k Run/Walk through historic Sault Ste. Marie. The 5k does not go across the International Bridge.
Why the Sault International Festival of Races, you ask?
You can’t beat the cool Fall temperatures!
The sunrise just isn’t the same from the seat of a vehicle when crossing the bridge!
When are you going to get another chance this year to run the International Bridge?
The race weekend isn’t complete without a night’s stay at the host hotel, Ramada Plaza Ojibway Hotel. Explore the downtown restaurants and nightlife within steps of your hotel, but remember the first race starts at 7:15 AM!
So, lace up your running shoes and get ready for a spectacular experience during the War Memorial Sault International Festival of Races, Saturday, September 23rd. If you get a few great photos while running, please remember to share them using the hashtag #ILovetheSoo.
