Within a short drive south of Sault Ste. Marie is the Chippewa County International Airport (CIU) in Kincheloe. Delta Airlines flies in and out of the airport offering affordable trips too and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) in Minnesota and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) in lower Michigan. Being connected to these two large Midwest airports means it’s easier ever to get to Chippewa County International Airport.

CIU has arrival and departure flights from both airports every day. With reasonable round-trip flights, CIU is a great place to begin your vacation to Sault Ste. Marie.
