Best of all, it's your once-per-year chance to sneak a peek behind the scenes at the Soo Locks.

Soo Locks Engineers Day It's the event that started it all - the one day when you can walk across the mighty Soo Locks walls and explore the buildings and special exhibits open only on this day - the last Friday in June.
Cloverland Electric Cooperative Hydroelectric Plant The Sault Ste. Marie landscape is blessed with a fantastic structure that is architecturally important, provides power to part of the city, and has operated for more than a century. Best of all - you can tour inside!

The Great Tugboat Race Tugboats of every shape, size and color take to the water to show their speed and agility at this annual event. Watch them traverse the Soo Locks for a close look or see them race on the water from Alford Park. It's fun, free, and unforgettable!

The Great Tugboat Race Cheer the Tugboats on as they race according to class across the St. Marys River. The best vantage point is James A. Alford Park in Sault MI next to the Cloverland Hydroelectric Plant.
Pancake Breakfast Sunday and Monday enjoy an all you can eat pancake breakfast aboard the "Nostalgia" Barge docked at the George Kemp Marina. Breakfast is prepared by The Great Tugboat Race volunteers.
