Rendezvous in the Sault

Come celebrate the history of Sault Ste. Marie "The Place Where Michigan was Born!". Enjoy traditional music, watch and learn how people survived with demonstrations of spinning, and weaving, native encampment, fishing camp, blacksmith along with 1812 re-enactors. Children’s activities will include historic crafts, games, and demonstrations. Native American dancing, artisans, and food will be featured both days and so much more!
On Saturday visitors can meet John and Susan Johnston as well as others who were central to the Saults history. Visit with these individuals as you tour their homes and buildings on Water Street. Come join us as we reconnect with our past.
Location: Water Street Historic Block
No admission but donations are gladly accepted to support of ongoing efforts to help promote our local history.
Everyone is invited to partake in the activities and experience the history of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.
Downtown Days

Join us in downtown Sault Ste. Marie MI for two full days of activities, deals, and fun for the whole family. Enjoy the sidewalk sales of our downtown stores who will be offering up great deals. Stroll through the streets and see the vast assortment of goods offered by merchants, arts and crafts vendors. Enjoy live music by local Sault Ste. Marie talent whiles perusing Ashmun Street. Don’t forget the kid’s games! Last but never least there will be food vendors to help keep you nourished as you enjoy Sault Ste. Marie’s Downtown Days.
Car Show

9th Annual “Slashin’ Ashmun” Antique Car Show – Hosted by the International Antique Auto Club, cars will line up on Ashmun Street.
Cars will be on display Saturday morning.
Lock City Motorcycle and Scooter Show

The 3rd Annual Lock City Motorcycle and Scooter Show will be held in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. This family oriented shows primary focus is to raise awareness of motorcycle safety and the attentiveness of motorcyclists sharing the road with other vehicles.
There will be a variety of vendors ranging in interest from family oriented bike clubs, veteran bike clubs, safety oriented companies and many more. Information regarding motorcycle safety courses will be available for those interested in learning how to ride a motorcycle or are looking to be endorsed to ride through the State of Michigan.
