Rendezvous in the Sault is a living history event that will take place along Historic Water Street at the City Hall Grounds and at the Historic Homes.  Local and visiting historical re-enactors will set up camps and displays with presentations and demonstrations on military and civilian life in the period of 1668-1840.  Food, music, dancing, canon firing, storytelling, crafts and games will be just some of the fun things to see and do on Saturday and Sunday of the last full weekend of July.

Rendezvous in the Sault will be an annual event and is being presented by the Chippewa County Historical Society in cooperation with the City of Sault Ste. Marie.  Planning and authenticity of encampments will be under the direction of the French Colonial Heritage Society of Port Huron, Michigan.  Visit www.HistoricWaterStreet.org/rendezvous for more information. This website will be updated as plans develop.

Individuals and groups that are interested in participating, donating and/or volunteering either at the event or during the planning stages may call the Chippewa County Historical Society (906) 635-7082 or contact Angie Patterson at apatterson@sault.com or (906) 632-5734.
