Michigan Paranormal Convention in Sault Ste. Marie

Posted on August 9th, 2017

Did you know the largest paranormal convention in the Midwest is held right here in Michigan’s oldest city?

Join the Upper Peninsula Paranormal Research Society (U.P.P.R.S.) and The Sault Events for the 8th Annual Michigan Paranormal Convention (MIPARACON)!  Over 30 paranormal experts will take the stage at Kewadin Casinos DreamMakers Theater on August 24-26.

The best thing about MIPARACON is that the convention participants can actually MEET the paranormal stars. At MIPARACON, they aren’t always on stage or locked away in their rooms. (Photo of Grant Wilson and fan from the 2016 MIPARACON)

MIPARACON brings an array of television personalities to the convention, but most are experts in their field. Talk with the owner of the Amityville House, or hear from known psychics like Chip Coffey. Even  Stanton Friedman physicist, lecturer, and leading UFO researcher will be on hand this year.

MEET Amy Bruni and Adam Berry of TLC’s Kindred Spirits!

Ask James “Bobo” Faye of Finding Bigfoot your burnings questions about Sasquatch.

Psychic Chip Coffey will be on stage but also wandering around all three days for spontaneous conversations and a Saturday gallery reading (extra cost in addition to the convention pass).

Recently announced for the convention are Nick Groff of Paranormal Lockdown and the Ghosts of Shepherdstown and Steve Gonsalves of Ghost Hunter. They will be on stage for a question and answer session Saturday.

There’s also an opportunity, with your convention pass, to shop the vendor room. From psychic readings to books about the paranormal you will find a little bit of everything. The paranormal stars even have vendor tables set up so you know where to find them when they’re not on stage. (Photo from 2016)

This amazing three-day convention culminates with a plated dinner with the paranormal stars. You could find John Zaffis of Haunted Collector sitting next to you or even Dustin Pari of Ghost Hunter. Adam Berry will be hosting Paranormal Jeopardy for the evening’s entertainment. Dinner is an extra cost of $25 per person in addition to the convention pass.

Be sure to enjoy local dining and The Soo Locks during your off hours while you’re in the area. Document your adventures in Sault Ste Marie on social media, and use #ILovetheSoo! Interested in attending the Michigan Paranormal Convention? Purchase tickets here!
