You’ve piled in the car and drove around looking at decorated homes, but now see them from 210 feet in the air! We invite you to start a new holiday tradition this year in Sault Ste. Marie with Light up the Soo.
The Tower of History opens for this special two-week event allowing visitors to travel to the top of the tower in an express elevator and view the city’s holiday lights. See the Twin Saults from the comfort of the enclosed observation deck, or brave the elements and take the stairs up to the open air platform.
New this year, Light up the Soo is offering children an opportunity to view the Soo for free with “Kids Light up the Tree“. Print the tree here and visit the downtown businesses listed on the tree, collecting stickers to decorate the tree. Once children have gathered 10 stickers for their tree visit the Tower of History for the star, free admission, and children will also receive a gift. Each child must have a fully lit tree (one tree per child) with a paid adult. Adult admission is $4.00, Children 5-18 $2.00 without a lit tree. Families are $10.00 total without trees and under 5 is free.
2016 Light up the Soo is December 16-31 from 5-9pm (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). See the lights early then visit downtown Sault Ste. Marie for dinner at one of the many restaurants. Holiday lights aren’t just for kids; downtown is filled with establishments for grown-ups too.
