Your fresh produce is now available for purchase on Saturday, as well as Wednesday evening!

The Downtown Development Authority will host the 3rd  Annual Summer Beach Party.  The day will kick off with a community- wide volleyball tournament which will start at 10 a.m.   Portage Ave. will be closed between Ashmun and Osborn so  the restaurants and taverns along this block are able to offer outdoor seating and service throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

As a special treat this year the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest will be performing from 1pm to 6pm.  They are a traditional military concert band of 35 personnel comprised of some of the finest musicians in the United States Air Force and have performed for numerous dignitaries across the country and Europe.

The party doesn't have to stop there, after 6pm there will be a pub crawl.  Wear your Beach Party t-shirt to recieve specials at downtown bars and restaurants.  Beach Party t-shirts will be sold at the Downtown Dvelopment Authority office located at 105 Arlington Street.
