Calendar of Events


The purpose of The Sault Events, Inc. is to create events that will attract tourists and future residents to the local area and to attract community members to this area to enhance our quality of life. The group will develop working relationship with various organizations, non profit groups, service clubs and businesses with the goal of promoting community prosperity.

June 11th – Soo Theatre Project
The official mission of Soo Theatre Project, Inc. is to sponsor, encourage, and create opportunities for participating in and appreciating the arts. The Soo Theatre Project, Inc. enriches the quality of life in our area by bringing talented entertainers, local artists, and quality events to the historic Soo Theatre stage.


June 18th – Lisa White & Friends


June 25th – Pub Runners
The Pub Runners have charmed audiences from Northern Michigan to Florida with their fun combination of Irish music, folk music and sing alongs.


July 2nd – Saline Fiddlers
The Saline Fiddlers astound audiences every time they take the stage. They are fully equipped, amplified and present an energetic, polished stage show that includes music, song and dance from the traditions of American folk fiddle, bluegrass, jazz, western swing and Celtic music.


July 9th – Gentleman George


July 16th – Blue Water Ramblers
The Blue Water Ramblers’ repertoire of folk music comes right out of our Michigan life experiences and the history of the Great Lakes region.


July 23rd – Petoskey Steel Drum Band
The Petoskey Steel Drum Band consists of over 35 high school students. They have performed in the Caribbean, Mardi Gras (7 times!), Epcot, Disney World, Hawaii, San Juan, St. Thomas, and many parades and concerts all over the state of Michigan. They put on a very fast pace and energetic performance, which is suitable for all ages and musical tastes.


July 30th – The Band Brooks (formerly known as Bittermoon)


August 6th – The Banjo Picker and Friends
The Banjo Picker and Friends consists of Barry Jon Van Guilder, Better Known as “The Banjo Picker” who sings and plays the guitar and banjo, performing all types of music: Traditional Country, Bluegrass, 60′s Folk, Comedy, and all the Standards. The Banjo Picker’s friends include his daughter Rachel who sings and plays the guitar and mandolin and his son Andrew who plays the bass guitar.


August 13th – The Cookies
The Cookies are a hot new dance pop group out of Northern Michigan, specializing in Motown, oldies, funk and top 40.


August 20th – Errant Late-Night Gareners
The Errant Late-Night Gardeners consists of Mark Ammel who sings and plays the trumpet, John Ignatowski who plays the analog piano, and Paul Ignatowski who plays the bass. Their vocal standards are from the 30s, 40s & 50s.


August 27th – Rich Eddy’s Rockin’ Oldies Band
