2011 Winners Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit

World-class walleye fishing and thousands in cash and prizes are on tap when the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit visits the legendary St. Mary’s River at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, August 24-26 2012.

A full field of 200 boats would yield more than $100,000 in cash payouts. Plus, sponsor contingencies from Cabela’s, Ranger Boats, Lowrance, Berkley, Worldwide Marine Insurance, U2/The Oxygenator and the Big Fish Pot add thousands more to the total.

The Cabela’s MWC’s proven team format lets competitors choose their partner and double their fun, all while splitting expenses. Plus, the late-August time frame is expected to produce fast fishing for the river’s abundant walleyes, making the event a high-stakes, big-fish shootout. The public is invited to the weigh-ins, which will be held at Aune-Osborn Park in Sault Ste. Marie, starting at 3 p.m. (EST) daily. The MWC and National Professional Anglers Association will present a Youth & Family Fishing Clinic immediately after the Day One weigh-in. The first 50 youths will receive rods and reels thanks to the NPAA, and tackle packages courtesy of Northland Fishing Tackle.
