Snowmobile Parade Guinness World Record Attempt February 1, 2018
Sault Events is hosting a GWR attempt at the most snowmobiles in a parade. The record is currently 1047. The Parade will end at the I-500 track where there will be a Food Truck competition, Woody’s Challenge and a Pub Crawl that evening.

Dedication of the St. Mary’s Stone Monument May 26, 2018
The monument depicts an overview of the origins of St. Mary’s Church that was built in 1668, being the first permanent wooden structure in what is now the State of Michigan. Dedication is following the 4 PM mass.

Soo Locks Engineers Weekend June 29 & 30, 2018
Engineer’s Day festivities are held from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m Friday, June 29th. The gates to the Lock walls are open to allow visitors across the Locks and into historically important structures (Davis Building and the Administration Building) used solely for the work of one of the world’s busiest Lock systems.

Rendezvous in the Sault July 28 & 29, 2018
Rendezvous in the Sault is a living history event that takes place along Historic Water Street at the City Hall Grounds and at the Historic Homes. Over 160 local and visiting historical re-enactors, blacksmiths, musicians, entertainers, and merchants will set up camps and displays with presentations and demonstrations on military and civilian life in the period of 1668-1840.
